The Drivers Collection Official Show 2023
There’s no doubt that we’ve prepped and loaded up plenty of our project fleet, along with lorry and lorry loads of the world’s best detailing products, to attend some of the biggest events around the world so far in 2023. Of course, there’s plenty of others to come before the end of the season, too. But it’s worth remembering that it’s not just the biggest monster shows on the planet that we love to get ourselves along to, there’s plenty of more intimate affairs here in the UK and Europe that we always like to support. In fact, we do our best to get along to as many shows, meets and events as we can, often multiple shows on the same weekend, sometimes on different continents. But one of the ones we were most looking forward to this year was the end of summer spectacular from the guys at The Drivers Collection.
Now, we have a long and illustrious history with the girls and boys from the Original Sunday Drivers Club, and we’ve attended many of their meets over the years, but what's great about their Official Show is that it's always a full-on but seriously laid-back club-style event that offers a completely different feel to most UK shows… suffice to say that, once again, we wouldn’t be disappointed with what they laid on. But first we'd have to get there.
The show was to take place at the Sheffield Aero Club near Worksop, so we packed, prepped and got on the road ready to roll in and set up our mobile store…
It’s not only the laid-back atmosphere we love about this particular event, it’s the sheer variety of cars that show up, too. Although, that being said, we’re not sure that all of these are limited to Sunday drivers, and that’s the whole point. From old skool classics and bona fide daily drivers to some seriously mentalist modified creations, this is one of those events that shows there are many facets to the UK car scene, but that doesn’t mean they have to be separated into different shows and speciality meets. In other words, The Drivers Collection is a real case of all for one and one for all.
Anyway, while we couldn’t possibly show you everything we loved, here’s a whole host of our favourites…
Thanks to everyone who came along to the event and all those who came by our stand. It goes without saying that we had a top day, so we're looking forward to seeing what the guys at The Original Sunday Drivers Club come up with for their Official Show (not to mention all their other meets) in 2024.
